Medical and healthcare

Health insurance

We strongly recommend buying travel insurance that includes medical coverage appropriate to your needs and holiday.

If you’re an EU citizen, your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) should cover emergency attention provided by the regional public health service (IB-SALUT).

Illness and accidents

In the event of a medical emergency, we’ll call the regional public health service to request an ambulance to take you to a public hospital.

If it’s not an emergency, we’ll call a local private doctor or clinic whose services will be payable in cash (EUR) or with a medical insurance policy (if accepted).

Private healthcare providers

Juaneda is a private clinic providing medical services in English and other languages in the Magaluf area (search postcode 07181).
