Fall in love with Palma

From Magaluf, it’s just an easy bus ride into the beautiful, romantic capital city of Palma de Mallorca. Get off at the cathedral stop and wander hand-in-hand along cobbled streets through the Old Town, stopping for a café con leche (coffee with milk) in a little bar.

Walk along the leafy La Rambla and the Passeig de Born (with trees lit up at night) to explore the shops, art galleries and restaurants, before heading up to the Es Baluard art gallery for a glass of wine on the terrace overlooking Palma marina.

Romantic day trips

Once in Palma, you can also catch the old, rustic train to the northern town of Sóller, passing through mountain villages and a tunnel to emerge into valleys of oranges and lemons. Then there’s an equally charming tram down to the port, for a drink and a walk by the sea.

Hire a car to open up even more possibilities for romancing that certain person. Drive along the winding coastal road and through the impressive Serra de Tramuntana, stopping off along the way at breathtaking viewpoints and enchanting towns.
